FreeBSD is an advanced BSD UNIX O/S developed and maintained by some of the industries' best software engineers. The FreeBSD project encompasses many years of development, the result of which is an extremely powerful and stable O/S. FreeBSD's open source ensures that these development efforts will be continued well into the future. In addition to FreeBSD, we also use Solaris UNIX for some of our Virtual Private Servers. If you don't know which version of UNIX your Virtual Private Server uses, use the uname command to find out.
